Roofing demand in Canton

The largest share of homes in Canton zip codes was built in the 2000s (38%), and about 39% are old enough that the original roof would be at or past a typical asphalt shingle lifespan in Georgia (Census ACS 2023 5-year). That means many homes here are on their second roof or due for one, so replacement work does not depend on storms alone.

Since October 14, 2020, radar estimates and National Weather Service reports show 8 days with hail of three quarters of an inch or more in Canton zip codes, 4 of them at an inch or more, the largest about 1.75 in on March 25, 2021. Across North Georgia most hail falls from June through August.

What to ask any roofing employer

  1. Who trains and certifies me?
  2. What percentage do I earn, and of what number?
  3. Is anything taken off the top before my share?
  4. Is there a base, and how does it work with commission?
  5. Is there a cap?
  6. Does the company ever waive deductibles? (Georgia does not allow it.)

Robust Roofing's answers: 50 percent of job profit, nothing, $75,000 per year, no cap, HAAG certification, and never.

The work itself

Free roof inspections with photos and drone images, clear damage documentation, adjuster meetings and supplements (Georgia law limits roofers to documentation and scoping, never claim negotiation), shingle and color choices with homeowners, build day coordination and a final walkthrough. Most Robust Roofing replacements finish in one day.

You would work neighborhoods such as BridgeMill, River Green, Great Sky, Laurel Canyon, Soleil Laurel Canyon.
