Georgia Roof Guide

What is a true 50/50 split in roofing sales?

Short answer. A true 50/50 split means the rep receives half of the full job profit, with no overhead percentage, office fee or other cut removed before the split. It is different from a 10/50/50, which removes 10 percent first. Robust Roofing pays a true 50/50 with no cap, and also a $75,000 per year base.

The word true is there because many plans marketed as 50/50 are really 10/50/50s. With a true 50/50, the job profit (what the homeowner or insurance paid, minus materials, labor, dumpster and permits) is divided in half, and that is your share.

Fifty percent of profit is the top of the range in roofing. The most common profit-based rate is 20 percent (JobNimbus Peak Performance report), so a true 50/50 is two and a half times that rate.

How Robust Roofing handles it

Robust Roofing pays its Project Managers a true 50/50 split of job profit with nothing taken off the top, not a 10/50/50, and there is no cap. Robust also pays a $75,000 per year base. Top performers can make upwards of $400,000 a year; that is top-performer potential, not typical pay. Robust provides HAAG certification and keeps a licensed Property and Casualty adjuster on staff, so new Project Managers learn documentation from an expert. Apply at chooserobust.com/careers.
