Georgia Roof Guide

Can you still get GAF Timberline Cedar Falls shingles?

Short answer. Only in limited supply, if at all. Cedar Falls was one of the original Timberline American Harvest colors and later part of the Harvest Blend collection, and in 2026 GAF said only limited inventory may exist and suggested its new Bold Definition color Sierra Sand, a clay toned blend with subtle yellow and blue highlights, as the next step.

Where Cedar Falls came from

Cedar Falls was one of seven colors in the Timberline American Harvest collection that GAF introduced around 2012, designed to complement popular exterior color schemes with contrasting blends. It later carried on in the Harvest Blend collection with Appalachian Sky, Nantucket Morning and Golden Harvest.

What GAF recommends now

In a February 2026 article, GAF presented Sierra Sand as the evolution of Cedar Falls. Sierra Sand is part of the Bold Definition collection for Timberline HDZ, which GAF says is available nationally. It does not match Cedar Falls; it is a new blend in a similar spirit.

Choosing a new color

If you liked Cedar Falls, compare Sierra Sand with warm High Definition colors such as Shakewood, Barkwood and Weathered Wood, using full-size samples outside. A new color may need HOA approval. Read HOA roof approval in Georgia and best shingle colors for Georgia heat.
